There is no such thing as no talent, it is simply having no practice. We believe it is never too young to start creating and expressing. Tuesdays are dedicated to our tiny people. Some aren't toddlers anymore, as sad as that makes us, and are ready to be challenged and taught more technical lessons. From 4pm-5:45pm is our beginner lessons generally for ages 4-8 ( we understand all children are different, please feel free to call and discuss your artist's needs) . $38 During this period the students will be introduced to a myriad of concepts; including but not limited to, collages, color theory, still life painting, crafting, ceramics, etc. All of the lessons are geared to be comprehensible and challenging, so we can grow millions of new neurons, which will create healthy self reliance and regulation. Safety scissors, crayons, paints, and more will be used in these lessons! Our classes are based on our 3 week lesson plans.

Theatrical Thursdays!
Theater group that combines drama and art!
Theater is an amazing way for kids, 6 years old and up, to be able to step out of their shell and express themselves in many ways! We will be hosting a creative theater group Thursdays from 4pm-6pm. This is a great home-school or after school program that is sure to create priceless core memories and skills. We will do 2-4 plays a year depending on what the students come up with! They will do everything! Including writing the play, creating the backdrops and props, putting together the costumes, and running the show! We will debut the performance for friends and family to enjoy! This class is a minimum of a month at a time signups. we encourage you to have your child stick with the program through at least one play as to not shorthand the rest of the cast and crew. Typically plays will take 4-6 months to procure as the students will be writing, designing, and creating every part of the show including but not limited to, props, costumes, scripts, etc. We do have some costumes and will be creating aspects of the costumes. Parents are welcome to pitch in to get bits of their child's costume as well when characters and a premier date have been cemented.

Silly Saturday
art games for adults
3rd Saturday Monthly
-if you're interested in this please let us know!
The world is often a serious and stressful place! However, our mission as a studio is to create wonder daily! So we are starting a regular social art club for adults that want to be creative and have fun but don't necessarily want to take on art seriously. Saturday nights we will be playing fun art games that will challenge your creativity and have no pressure on the outcome of the piece. We will play different games like Art Roulette, Art Prompt Raffle, Art Charades, and Themed Paint Parties (IE rock n roll, cultural appreciation, world of color, etc.) The goal is to have community come together and allow for a person's inner child to come out. In a world where so many were forced to grow up quickly in order to survive, it is important for us to learn to have fun again!
Food and BYOB friendly. (no common allergen like nuts and shellfish) The Party is from 4-6 pm (may go until 7 if people are still painting and talking) It is a $10 buy in to pay for paint and your seat if you bring your own item to paint. Otherwise, you can buy something to paint on from us! We have canvases starting at $10.

2nd week of the month= painting project
3rd week of the month= special skills/ Deep Dive
Wondrous Wednesdays= 3 class program -> generally study multiple artists with different styles and techniques
--> the goal is to create one or several unique & detailed artworks
---> may not have the same projects as the other classes but will follow the same subject matters in more detail
August-
[subject] still life
Week 1- Multimedia collage with still life reference
Week 2- Still life painting (with a focus on finding the basic shapes in reference subjects)
Week 3- dive deep into using unexpected colors to elevate a piece.
[Skills to learn]
Students learn the fundamental shapes of organic objects. -How to break objects down into shapes -How to see life in paintable layers.
[Significance]
We are everything we have experienced. No matter what type of art you prefer, studying the world around us helps our mental library of images and shapes grow and be translated to any technique.
September-
[subject] Impressionism
Week 1- Tissue paper texture project
Week 2- Claude Mone inspired painting
Week 3- dive deep into utilizing texture to elevate a piece
[Skills to learn]
Students learn how different textures can invoke movement, mood, and theme. Where skills take time but inner expression is innate and texture can help to portray the artists intent even when other skills are yet undeveloped
[Significance]
The beauty of the different components of art is that a lack of skill in one technique can be made up by enthusiasm in another. Learning every way to create beautiful art allows the artist to take away all limitations for creativity.
October-
[subject] Limited color palette
Week 1- Create a luminary using a limited color palette to invoke a fall feeling.
Week 2- Painting inspired by artists like Picasso, Van Gogh, Carl Erickson, etc.
Week 3- dive deep into how to convey theme and mood in art through emotional color association. We will answer the question, “How can limiting color unlock limitless potential?”
[Skills to learn]
Students will learn that limiting color can unlock a level of control in the mood of their piece. Specific colors and color combinations invoke powerful moods and themes in art. Similarly, once you have mastered creating with less colors, you can more eloquently incorporate other colors, should the piece call for it.
[Significance]
Being able to control the mood of a piece is not only a good skill for becoming a talented artist, but is an invaluable tool for self-expression and art therapy. Sometimes when someone is emotional it is hard to articulate their feelings verbally, but they may be able to get that emotion out through painting it on a canvas.
