This is a part 1 of 2 classes. If you'd like to learn to paint your ceramics in glaze for firing in the kiln, sign up for the second class "intro to Hand-building part 2" as well. Wednesday, May 21st pt1 coincides with Wednesday, June 4th pt2 Saturday, May 31st pt 1 coincides with Saturday, June 14th pt 2 Part 1 is sculpting and part 2 is painting. You must wait 2 weeks between sculpting and painting to allow for adequate dry time. Join skilled sculptor Jessica Piatti and Discover the magic of clay — from forming to finishing! Wed June 4th @ 11 am or Sat June 14th @ 11am 2 hours In this two-part beginner series, you’ll first learn the fundamental techniques of hand-building in part 1: pinch, coil, and slab. Create your own personalized bowls, trays, or sculptures in a supportive, creative environment — no experience needed! In the second class "intro to hand-building pt2", you’ll bring your work to life with color through beginner-friendly glazing techniques, including painting with underglazes and applying finishing coats for firing. By the end of the two classes, you’ll have beautiful, functional, or sculptural ceramics made entirely by you! 🌟 Perfect for total beginners 🌟 All materials and tools provided 🌟 Fun, relaxed, and creative! intended for artists 12 and up.
